Aqua Blue Maui introduces some exciting new Paua (abalone) Shell products to the market. Veneer Panels and gift items made from the finest Grade-A White abalone (Donkey Shell) and Paua Shell. This is one of the worlds most beautiful nacreous shells because of it's beautiful and intense variation of color. All shells remind us of a kaleidoscope or hologram, with the colors dancing and sparkling as the iridescent patterns of the nacre catch the glints of light when viewed from different angles, similar to the mother of pearl shell, but far more brilliantly colored.

The veneer panels are revolutionary because, using only one thin piece of Paua, Aqua Blue Maui has developed a coating process to give the same effect as a much thicker piece of shell. The Thin Lam™ panels can be cut using simple hobbyist tools, scissors, or even a paper cutter.

The possible applications for these veneer panels is only limited by the creativity of the user, and because of their ease of use compared to traditional Paua shell inlay they have almost zero wastage.
